As the Washington Post reported on Thursday, Congress passed a HUD budget that makes deep cuts to housing programs, with the deepest cuts going to housing production programs.

The Atlantic notes that “this same week that Congress agreed to help out Americans who don’t need it by backing giant mortgages, it cut funding for housing projects.”
